Sediment Control and Stormwater Management Inspection

Please reference the Sediment Control Inspector Area Map to determine the DPS Sediment Control and Stormwater Management Inspector assigned to your area.

After permit issuance, and 48 hours prior to starting construction, the permittee must contact the DPS Sediment Control Inspector listed on the permit to schedule a pre-construction inspection. Periodic site inspections will be made by the Sediment Control and Stormwater Management Inspector to ensure proper techniques for minimizing sediment runoff from the construction site are employed.  The Sediment Control and Stormwater Management Inspector will also inspect stormwater management controls constructed as part of the approved permit plans.

For the permit to be considered finalized and the bond returned at construction completion, a final inspection of the site is required. For those sites requiring the construction of stormwater management controls, the as-built plans for the stormwater mangement controls as constructed must be approved prior to a final inspection being conducted.
