Site Plan Enforcement Inspection

When is a Site Plan Enforcement Inspection Required?

DPS’s Site Plan Enforcement Section (SPES) is a plan review and inspection unit within MC DPS assigned to review/inspect all requirements of projects that require Certified Site Plans by M-NCPPC. A Site Plan Enforcement Inspection is an ongoing process throughout the development of a project, which has under gone approval and certification by theMarylandNationalCapitalPark and Planning Commission (MNCPPC).   In addition, if a project requires a bond, release of that bond will occur only after the Site Plan Enforcement Inspector determines all work has been completed in accordance to the site plan.

 Purpose

Site Plan Enforcement inspections ensure that the agreements between the developer and MNCPPC are met and maintained.  According to the enforcement authority granted to DPS under the memorandum of understanding created in 2006 by the Planning Commission.
