A Sign Installer License is a license issued by the Department of Permitting Services (DPS) jointly to a business and a person employed by the business that has completed training and passed an examination on the current sign regulations. Licensure is not mandatory, however, a licensed installer can obtain sign permits without DPS staff review, provided the installer certifies that the signs conform to the regulations. A licensed sign installer is required to correct, without additional charge, any violation of the sign regulations.
A Limited Duration Sign Installer License is issued to a business or person who installs limited duration signs only. A licensed installer can direct others in the installation of limited duration signs in accordance with the sign regulation.
