• DPS does not have any records available prior to October 17, 1986 except Well & Septic which date back to 1943. However, DPS does not have records for all properties served by well and/or septic in Montgomery County.
• Document reviews are by appointment only. Please call 240-777-6240 to schedule an appointment to review documents.

• If the request is not picked up or reviewed within 2 weeks of notification, the request will be cancelled without a refund.
• Information Requests for fire codes, fire protection systems and hazardous materials are handled by the Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS). Please call MCFRS at 240-777-2457 to obtain the related information.
• DPS does not have jurisdiction for properties located within the City of Rockville (240-314-5000) and the City of Gaithersburg (301-258-6330). Please contact them directly.
